Unlike traditional sharp towel clips, the ball and socket design features smooth, rounded opposing ends that grip the drape and underlying tissue through gentle compression only. Suitable for both veterinary and human surgical procedures, particularly where skin puncture must be avoided.

How It Works

Unlike Backhaus or standard towel clips that use sharp points to penetrate skin and drapes, the ball and socket towel clamp works by:

• One arm ends in a smooth ball
• The other arm ends in a concave socket
• When closed, the ball sits inside the socket
• Drapes are held by compression and friction alone
• No skin penetration – reduces infection risk and patient trauma
